IAC Now Accepting SVIN Research Proposals

With the objective of funding innovative and meritorious research relevant to facility accreditation, the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) Research Committee is pleased to announce its plan to extend eligibility to IAC sponsoring organizations and their members, government agencies, health care insurers, academic institutions and other nonprofit organizations that wish to submit proposals regarding accreditation and quality improvement for the 2013 IAC Research Award Program. Eligible individuals and organizations applying for this research opportunity should submit a letter of intent to the IAC no later than April 1, 2013. The IAC will award grants to qualifying applicants in October 2013.

Years ago, NC established the Stroke Advisory Council and charged the council with developing a system for identifying and disseminating information about the location of primary stroke centers (PSCs), but the legislation failed to define a PSC. PSCs often deliver higher quality care to stroke patients and have lower mortality rates.
